Good news is waiting for many CAF beneficiaries, who will benefit from a boost in their holiday budget in 2025. But beware of scams!
It is never too early to think about the summer holidays. Are you afraid of having an overly tight budget to offer your family the change of scenery that they need so much? Good news may be waiting for you in your mailbox or your emails: the National Family Allowance Caisse (CNAF) announces that it has launched its vacation aid campaign for 2025.
The device takes different forms depending on the departments. Help in the Family Holidays (AVF) allows you to finance stays in campsites or dedicated places; For minors, children’s vacation assistance (AVE) contributes to the financing of summer camps. Some departmental funds also offer additional transport aid, the amount of which varies depending on the distance between the home and the vacation location, as well as the period chosen.
To benefit from one of these options, several conditions must be met. You must first be a CAF beneficiary and to collect at least a family service: family allowances, complement to free choice of childcare, or even shared child education service. But that’s not all.
The allocation then depends on the composition of the family, the age of children, and finally on the level of your resources, determined from your family quotient. The precise methods vary according to the departments: in Paris, for example, the family quotient must not exceed 700 euros. In addition, the total amount of the allowance is capped: in several departments, the ceiling is also set at 700 euros.
The great advantage of this help is that it is directly paid to the chosen vacation structure, which avoids families to advance the costs. Many CAFs work with the VACAF system, which offers a complete catalog of eligible stays, available on its site. Some boxes have their own catalog of destinations.
To find out if you are eligible, nothing could be simpler: it is your CAF that will inform you. Some beneficiaries had to receive a letter in February, others will find the information in their mailbox or directly in their personal space on the site of their departmental fund, watching for their notifications.
However, the organization warns against scams on this subject: fraudulent emails circulate, imitating CAF to try to defraud money to recipients. The latter therefore recalls that she never asks to fill out forms by email concerning vacation aid. For more security, candidates are invited to verify their eligibility for the system in their personal online space. This is also where you will find the exact amount of the allowance you can claim.
