What region wins the first place of the most beautiful in France, according to the most famous artificial intelligence? Here is the answer.
Impossible, a priori, to decide: what is the most beautiful region in France? Everyone defends their own, carried by their childhood memories or a significant journey. But for the first time, we asked the question to an AI: Chatgpt. The most popular model of the moment has neither roots nor heart, but it has this incredible ability to analyze millions of data to offer an answer … almost thoughtful.
In tenth position, Chatgpt takes us to the Pays de la Loire, where “the castles seem to come out of a tale, the rivers wind in the sweetness Angevin and Nantes amazes with its creative dynamism.” A notch higher, he places Burgundy-Franche-Comté, “land of wines and muffled landscapes”, where elegant slowness is almost an art of living. Arriving at eighth row, Chatgpt tells us to have a weakness for the great east, “Christmas magic, dense forests, Alsatian markets, a region where Europe invites itself on a daily basis”. Normandy, it harvested seventh place. “Changing light, sculpted cliffs and omnipresent story”, breathes AI, which dreams aloud to see Étretat and Mont-Saint-Michel.
New Aquitaine arrives sixth, thanks to “the immense horizon of the Atlantic, the majesty of the Pilat Dune, the Basque traditions and the Bordeaux refinement”. In fifth, Chatgpt relies on Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, “symbol of mineral France, from Auvergne volcanoes to Mont Blanc, passing through Lyon La Gourmande and Annecy la crystalline”. At the foot of the podium, he places Occitania. “A generous land, which combines Gascogne, the Pyrenees, Toulouse, Carcassonne, and the taste of the Southwest: it is a journey without leaving the region”, analyzes the AI, which marvels.
On the third step, Brittany. Wild beaches, fishing ports, brocéliande forests and salted butter pancakes, everything is there: “It’s a world apart, where we still speak Breton, where we dance until late.” Next comes Corsica, second in the ranking. Chatgpt admires it for its unique character: “It is the only region in France which can be summed up in a word: wild. Nut raw, heavenly beaches, perched villages, and an inimitable identity.”
Finally, without hesitation, Chatgpt Sacre La Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. And the AI is almost lyrical: “It is a region which brings together, in a single territory, a dazzling diversity. (…) You can ski in the morning in Isola 2000 and swim in the afternoon in Menton. The Valensole plateau in June becomes a purple sea of lavender.” But it is above all a matter of sensations: “It is a light, a perfume, a sound. We hear the cicadas, we feel thyme and rosemary, we see the ocher and the saturated blues of the sky. It embodies the dream south, that of painters, poets, lovers.”
