Page raises nearly 2 million to turn followers into customers using AI

Paage completes a financing round led by Aglaé Ventures with the participation of Kima Ventures, Cassius and several renowned business angels.

What if AI made it possible to simplify the monetization of your community? This is the bet of Paage, a young Parisian start-up which announced on November 12 that it would raise 2 million euros (with an unspecified portion of debt). The young company offers a builder driven by artificial intelligence which allows you to deploy a complete commercial page in just a few minutes, integrating content, payment and contact management. Page is aimed at content creators and solopreneurs looking to deliver personalized experiences to their audiences.

The funding round is led by Aglaé Ventures, with the participation of Kima Ventures (Xavier Niel fund) and Cassius. Several business angels have also joined the adventure, including Alexandre Eruimy, former general manager of PrestaShop, Felix Malfait, co-founder of Twenty, Darren Lachtman, of Goldenset Collective and Enzo Mattioli Ferrari (head of investments of the Ferrari family).

Create personalized experiences using AI

In 2021, Nicolas Garcin and Jean Ronin, the current co-founders of Paage, are launching a print-on-demand platform aimed at photographers and illustrators. Very quickly, they noticed the same difficulty among their users: to sell and animate their community, they juggle between several tools without consistency. A Linktree link in the Instagram bio to redirect, a Shopify store for sales, a Google Form to manage pre-orders, a third-party tool for emailing… Result: a fragmented, time-consuming and inefficient experience.

This is where the idea of Paage was born, bringing together in one place the presentation page, the product catalog, payment and relations with the community. Paage first built all the functionalities in a classic way, in block form, before superimposing a layer of artificial intelligence. The startup started its AI builder with the product creation brick but ultimately plans to extend it to all.

Concretely, all you need to do is describe in natural language what you want to sell or drag an image into the interface for the agent to detect the object, generate the specifications and configure the product sheet. Paage juggles between several language models depending on the task at hand: Gemini, Claude or GPT intervene differently depending on whether it involves analyzing an image, structuring a description or planning the following steps. The startup now favors the engineering context over traditional prompt engineering, favoring minimalist instructions enriched with a precise context to preserve the creativity of the agent without rigidifying it in a predefined workflow.

Ultimately, Paage aims to make its conversational agent capable of anticipating the needs of its users. “We really want Agent Paage to become a dirty co-pilot and to be a bit of a genius, to come up with good proposals and to be quite proactive in the actions to be implemented,” explains Jean Ronin. The start-up is working on a proactive system that would suggest contextual actions adapted to the profile and schedule of each creator. The agent would leverage the platform’s internal data and observed best practices to make personalized recommendations. “The idea is that we want the main interface to be the prompt,” summarizes Nicolas Garcin, co-founder.

An already well-established clientele in the United States

Page operates on a two-way business model. Paage customers can opt for a free version or take out a subscription (30 euros per month). The platform charges transaction fees on sales made: 9% for free accounts, 1% for paying subscribers. “The commission on free accounts constitutes our main source of income, also modulo the visibility they offer us, because these people share their Page link in their bio on TikTok and Instagram”, specifies Nicolas Garcin. The start-up already boasts 100,000 users spread across more than ten countries, 60% of whom are based in the United States.

The team currently has five people based in Paris. The majority work on technical and product aspects, while one person focuses on customer support. The funds raised will be used primarily to strengthen the engineering team, with the recruitment of software engineers with a focus on AI. The start-up also plans to accelerate its international expansion by developing integrations specific to each market: local currencies, regional payment methods like those used in Brazil, and extensive multilingual support.
